Gewissen

Wie verdorben und böse eine Person auch sein mag, die Kraft des Gewissens, die sie zu einem tugendhaften Leben drängt, bleibt unablässig in ihrem inneren Selbst aktiv. Das trifft auf Menschen und Völker aller Zeiten zu. Niemand kann die Kraft des Gewissens ersticken. Sie wirkt sogar, ohne dass man es bewusst wahrnimmt. Im gleichen Moment, in dem eine Person eine böse Tat begeht, wird sie auch schon von Gewissensbissen heimgesucht. Fehlte die Funktion des Gewissens in gefallenen Menschen, so wäre Gottes Vorsehung der Wiederherstellung ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit.

Das Gewissen ist jene Funktion des menschlichen Geistes, die uns dank ihrer innewohnenden Veranlagung unablässig in Richtung dessen führt, was wir für das Gute halten. Durch den Fall versanken die Menschen jedoch in Unkenntnis um Gott und folglich in Unkenntnis um den absoluten Standard des Guten. Aus diesem Grund sind wir außerstande, den korrekten Maßstab des Guten für unser Gewissen festzulegen.

There is nothing I do that my conscience does not know about; it sees everything. The conscience objects whenever the body schemes to do something wrong.

Dear guests, don’t give your conscience any more grief. Don’t disobey its call. Disobeying the voice of your conscience only brings sorrow to your heart. It brings sorrow to your parents, to your teachers, and even to God.

Your conscience tells you to five for others according to the Principle. No matter how strong your body’s desire is, if you intentionally increase the force of your conscience beyond the force of your body, your body will follow it. If you cannot, you had better decrease your body’s force through fasting and asceticism. If clear water continually flows into a muddy pond, eventually the pond will become clear.

Unity between mind and body means to live in absolute obedience to the voice of the conscience. The conscience is the root of the mind. You must listen to your conscience that arises from within your mind, and be able to modify your course of action at anytime, anywhere, while remaining as clear as crystal. This is a necessary condition for becoming a true parent, a true teacher and a true leader.

When you have attained oneness in true love, you can attain a perfect score as a person of precious value. Mind- body unity refers to the state in which the physical self resonates in harmony with the conscience. When you strike one prong of a tuning fork, the other prong vibrates at the same frequency. Similarly, when you strike the conscience with true love, the physical self resonates with it. Conversely, when you strike the physical self with true love, the conscience resonates with it.

Only when they are unified through true love, can the mind and body return to the state where God dwells within them.

Our minds and bodies must be united by means of the invisible God and by means of true love, and we must honor and respect our heart and conscience just as we honor and respect God Himself.
