The Divine Principle

The key to God's first blessing is the perfection of the individual character. The mind and body of an individual are separate formations and object partners of God's polar attributes. If an individual wants to perfect their character, they must realize a four-position foundation within themselves, with their mind and body becoming one with God at the center through give and take. Such individuals become temples of God¹⁸, reach full unity with Him¹⁹, and develop a divine nature.

2.3 THE FOUR-POSITION BASE STRUCTURE THAT REALIZES THE PURPOSE OF THE THREE OBJECT PARTNERS THROUGH ORIGIN-DIVISION-UNION

2.3.1 ORIGIN-DIVISION-UNION

The human mind consists of the spiritual mind and the physical mind. The relationship between the two minds corresponds to that of Sông Sang and Hyông Sang. When they become one by giving and receiving with God at the center, they form a unified entity that guides the Spiritual Self and the Physical Self to enter into a harmonious relationship and realize the purpose of creation. We refer to this united entity as the mind of a person.

As long as our mental and physical temperament is subject to the bondage of Satan, the functional being, which is formed in giving and receiving, must be called an evil temperament. The evil temperament incessantly drives man to do evil. Our original temperament and our conscience prompt us to reject the evil temperament. They lead us, with desperate effort, to deny evil desire and to hold on to good, tearing apart the shackles of Satan and turning to God.
