Four-Position Basic Structure

2.3 THE FOUR-POSITION BASE STRUCTURE THAT REALIZES THE PURPOSE OF THE THREE OBJECT PARTNERS THROUGH ORIGIN-DIVISION-UNION

2.3.1 ORIGIN-DIVISION-UNION

The process of creation begins as soon as God's polar attributes form a common base through the action of His Universal Prime Energy. Just as they initiate giving and receiving, they generate a force that leads to multiplication. This force projects the polar attributes into various substantial object partners, all of which refer to God as the center. These object partners of God take on the positions of subject partners and object partners among each other, as they are stimulated by the Universal Prime Energy to form a common base and begin the process of giving and receiving. They then unite to form a harmonious entity as a new object partner of God. This entire process—whereby two separate entities emerge from God, the origin, and are reunited into one—is called Origin-Division-Union.

2.3.2 THE PURPOSE OF THE THREE OBJECT PARTNERS

As a result of the Origin-Division-Union process, four positions arise: the origin as the center, a subject partner, and an object partner (each unique substantial object partners of the origin based on the pattern of its polar attributes) and their unity. Each of these four positions can assume the role of the subject partner and incorporate the other three as object partners. Thus, they form a community of three object partners. When each of the four alternately acts as a subject partner and carries out giving and receiving with the three partners orbiting around it, the purpose of the Three Object Partners is realized.

2.3.3 THE FOUR-POSITION BASE STRUCTURE

When the components that have emerged from the origin through Origin-Division-Union—namely, origin, subject partner, object partner, and unity—fulfill the purpose of the Three Objects, the Four-Position Base Structure is realized. The Four-Position Base Structure is the foundation of the number four. It is also the foundation of the number three, as it signifies the fulfillment of the purpose of the Three Object Partners.

The Four-Position Base Structure is realized through God, husband, wife, and their children; they fulfill the three stages of the Origin-Division-Union process. Therefore, the Four-Position Base Structure forms the basis of the principle of three stages. Furthermore, each of the four positions in a Four-Position Base Structure incorporates three object partners in the implementation of the purpose of the Three Object Partners. In total, there are twelve object partners; hence the Four-Position Base Structure is also the foundation of the number twelve. The Four-Position Base Structure is the fundamental foundation of goodness. Within it, God's purpose of creation is realized. It is the primary foundation for the life of all beings, guaranteeing all forces for their existence and enabling God to dwell within beings. Therefore, the Four-Position Base Structure is God's eternal purpose of creation.

2.3.4 EXISTENCE WITHIN THE FOUR-POSITION BASE STRUCTURE

All beings, having fulfilled the purpose of the Three Object Partners through the implementation of Origin-Division-Union, move in circular (elliptical) or spherical orbits. They then exist in three dimensions. We want to examine the reason for this.

Through the process of Origin-Division-Union, God's polar attributes are destined to form two distinct and substantial object partners, which relate to each other as subject partner and object partner. The object partner responds to the subject partner, establishing a common base. Oriented towards the subject partner, the object partner begins with giving and receiving. Both partners are balanced by the force of giving (centrifugal) and the force of receiving (centripetal), with the object partner orbiting the subject partner in a circular path. Thus, they achieve harmony and unity. Similarly, the subject partner becomes God's object partner. It orbits Him and becomes one with Him. When the object partner becomes fully one with the subject partner, their unity, which resembles God's polar attributes, can stand before God as a new object partner. Moreover, unity with its subject partner is the way for each object partner to become God's object partner.
In the unity of subject partner and object partner, both the subject partner and the object partner each consist of polar attributes and move according to the same principle of giving and receiving in their respective orbits. Thus, we find the circular orbits of giving and receiving in both the subject partner and the object partner, while at the same time, both partners complete the larger circular motion within their unity. Occasionally, the two planes on which the circular movements of the subject partner and the object partner occur may temporarily coincide, so that the orbital plane appears to be two-dimensional; generally, however, the circular movements take on a spherical form due to the constantly changing angle of the orbit around the subject partner. All entities existing in a Four-Position Base Structure realize circular and spherical movements, thus achieving a three-dimensional existence.

The solar system can serve as a good example for us. Each planet stands as an object partner to the sun on a common base due to centrifugal and gravitational forces, engaged in a giving-receiving relationship with it. By orbiting the sun in an elliptical path, these celestial bodies harmonize with each other and form the unity of the solar system. At the same time, the planet Earth itself, a body formed with polar attributes, rotates on its axis. The same applies to the sun and the other planets; they are in constant rotation as they are also bodies of polar attributes. The orbits resulting from giving and receiving in the solar system are not all on the same plane. Instead, the solar system presents itself as a three-dimensional structure of spherical movements to the observer due to the varying inclination angles of the orbits and planetary rotations. All celestial bodies exist three-dimensionally as a result of their circular and spherical movements. Through giving and receiving among each other, they create the structure of the universe. Thus, a complete body is formed. The universe exists in three dimensions because its components move spherically according to the same principle.

As soon as an electron forms a common base with a proton and begins giving and receiving, it travels in a circular orbit around the proton. Thus, they unite and form an atom (hydrogen). Furthermore, the electron and proton are each composed of polar attributes that keep them in constant rotation. Therefore, the circle movement resulting from giving and receiving between proton and electron is not limited to a plane but generates a spherical movement through constantly changing inclination angles. Consequently, the atom exists three-dimensionally due to its spherical movement. Similarly, the force of a magnetic field causes electrically charged particles to move in spherical paths within it.

Consider human beings: As an object partner to the mind, the body forms a common base with the mind and enters into a relationship of giving and receiving with it. Figuratively speaking, the body orbits the mind and becomes one with it. Once the mind stands as an object partner to God and orbits Him—when the mind resonates in unity with God and the body becomes one with the mind—the individual resembles God in its polar attributes and assumes the position of an embodied object partner of God. In doing so, this person fulfills the purpose of creation. The mind and body also each consist of polar attributes, keeping them in constant motion. Hence, the circular movement generated in the giving and receiving between mind and body constantly changes the orbit angle around God and becomes spherical. People who have fulfilled the purpose of creation exist as three-dimensional beings, whose lives, again speaking figuratively, move on God-centered spherical paths. This even enables them to rule over the incorporeal world.14

When the circular movement of the subject partner and the object partner, taking place on one plane, becomes a three-dimensional spherical movement, the dynamics and creativity of the universe are revealed. Differences in distance, shape, form, direction, angle, force, and speed from orbit to orbit appear as the endless variations of beauty in creation.

Just as all existence encompasses Sông Sang (inner nature) and Hyông Sang (outer form), there is a type of spherical movement corresponding to nature and one corresponding to form. Similarly, there is also a center of movement corresponding to nature and a center corresponding to form. These two centers are in the same relationship to each other as nature and form.

What is the innermost center of all these spherical movements? Humans are the center of all created entities, symbolizing God's polar attributes as an object partner. God is the center of all humans. He created them in His image as the embodiment of His object partners. Consequently, the ultimate center of all spherical movements of the universe is God.

-

Examining this more closely, each object partner of God contains within it a subject partner and an object partner. The center of their relationship is the subject partner, and the center of the unity of the subject partner and object partner is therefore also the subject partner. Since God is the center of the subject partner, He is also the ultimate center of their unity. As already indicated, the three substantial object partners of God (subject partner, object partner, unity) also form common bases among each other. Just as each of the three assumes the central position and reaches unity with the others through giving and receiving, with God as the ultimate center, they realize the purpose of the Three Object Partners and establish the Four-Position Base Structure. Therefore, the ultimate center of the Four-Position Base Structure is God.

Each entity that has established the Four-Position Base Structure in this way is an individual embodiment of truth. As previously mentioned, we categorize each entity either as an individual embodiment of truth in the form of an image (humans) or as a symbol (the entire rest of creation). The universe consists of countless embodiments of truth, related to each other from the lowest up to the highest level. Among them, humans occupy the highest level.

Each individual embodiment of truth moves in spherical movements around others, with those on a lower level encountering those on a higher level as object partners. Therefore, at the center of each spherical movement is an individual embodiment of truth on a higher level, which acts as the subject partner. The centers of all symbolic individual embodiments of truth are interconnected from the lowest to the highest level. The highest centers are humans, who are individual embodiments of truth as images.

Thus, let us consider the central position of humans. According to scientific accounts, subatomic particles are the fundamental building blocks of matter, composed of energy. Considering the purpose of all individual embodiments of truth that make up the universe on its diverse levels, we can assume: Energy exists with the purpose of forming subatomic particles, the purpose of particles is to form atoms, the purpose of atoms is to form molecules, the purpose of molecules is to form matter, and the purpose of matter is to shape all individual entities of the universe. From the perspective of their respective activities, it applies similarly: The operation of energy serves to form particles, particles interact for atoms' sake, atoms for molecules, molecules for matter, and the action of matter occurs for the construction of the universe.

What is the purpose of the universe? What is its center? The answer to both questions is the human being. Therefore, God entrusted humanity with the task of ruling over the universe upon the completion of creation.15 If humanity did not exist to appreciate and value the universe, it would be like a museum without an audience. The exhibits of a collection only attain their true value when people appreciate them as historical treasures, cherish, and enjoy them. The relationship between humans and museum pieces gives the object's existence its value. If there were no one to appreciate it, would its existence have any meaning? The same applies to the universe, over which humans are rulers.

The various entities of creation enter into reciprocal relationships, fulfilling a common purpose when humans discover the origin and character of matter and begin to identify and classify plants and animals on land, in water, and in the air, as well as all stars I the heavens. The common purpose of all these modes of being is fulfilled when they are assimilated by the human body as the necessary elements for its sustenance, or find use in building a life environment conducive to humanity's comfort. In this and other ways, humans are the center of the outer form of the universe.

Furthermore, humans also hold the position of the inner center of the universe. The relationships mentioned thus far are physical relationships. Let us now consider mental or spiritual relationships. Although the human body is of a material nature, it responds to the feelings, intellect, and will of the human mind in all its physiological functions. This indicates that matter contains elements within it that respond to feelings, intellect, and will, the elements constituting the inner nature of matter. For this reason, all things in the universe respond to the feelings, intellect, and will of humans, although to varying degrees. We are captivated by the beauty of nature, merging with it into a mystical unity. We experience this because we are the center for the inner nature of all things of creation. Hence, humanity is created as the center of the universe, and the place of perfect unity between God and humans is the center of the cosmos.

From yet another perspective, let us explore how humanity represents the center of the cosmos, both the Spiritual and Physical Worlds. Every human being embodies all the elements of the cosmos. As previously mentioned, all cosmic entities, broadly speaking, can be categorized into subject partners and object partners. If Adam, as the first human ancestor, had reached perfection, he would have become the embodiment of all subject elements in creation. If Eve had achieved perfection, she would have embodied all object elements of the creation. God created Adam and Eve as the future rulers of the creation. As they grew toward perfection together, Adam was meant to become the king of all subject elements in the created world and Eve the queen of all object elements. Had they then become one as husband and wife, they would have represented the center of the entire universe and all its subject and object partners.

Humans were created as centers of harmony for the entire cosmos. If Adam and Eve had achieved perfection and realized unity as husband and wife, they would have become one as the two centers of the polar attributes of all entities. Had Adam and Eve harmoniously united, the entire cosmos, with its polar attributes, could have commenced a dance of harmony. The place of merging Adam and Eve in the perfect unity of heart and body as husband and wife is also the place where God and humanity unite. As the subject partner, God radiates love, and as an object partner, a human responds with beauty. Where the purpose of creation is fulfilled, that is the center of goodness. Here God approaches us as a parent to dwell in His perfect children as a place of eternal peace. This center of goodness, where God is inspired to eternal joy, is the object partner for God's eternal love. It is the place where God's Word becomes flesh and comes to fulfillment; it is the center of truth and the Original Mind, which inspires us to fulfill the purpose of creation.

Ultimately, the entire universe carries out a spherical movement with a united purpose when it is grounded on the Four-Position Base Structure, realized by a perfect man and a perfect woman in their God-oriented marital unity. Tragically, the universe lost its center when humanity fell. Therefore, Paul wrote of the earnest longing of the creature, its waiting for the revelation of the sons of God.16 Creation awaits individuals who have restored their Original Mind and take their position as the center of creation.
